Creating Hope, instilling Life Lessons.

It’s the basic things we take for granted. Learning how to clean your apartment, how to apply for a job, planning your food budget. There are young people in our community who need our guidance.

CHILL (Creating Hope, Instilling Life Lessons), Inc., answers this need by providing social services to residents at The Courtyard, a permanent supportive housing complex for young adults ages 18-25 who have aged out of foster care or are at risk of becoming homeless.

Increase Self-sufficiency. alleviate suffering.

Out of 36 units, there are 28 children under the age of five who live at The Courtyard with their single mothers.

As these young adults face a world they are not fully prepared for, CHILL focuses on giving them basic life skills. They teach them how to keep their apartments clean, how to access benefits for food security, how to care for their children, and how to build healthy relationships.

All residents receive the resources needed to face the workforce, the tools it takes to be an adult, and the support they need to be successful parents.

CHILL relies on funding from generous donors to make this possible.
